its better than a weighted vest, thats what your supposed to use if you jump with weights connected to you.

sure it helps, but i'm thinking its similar to wearing ankle weights..but on your waist..
wouldnt the gains you make from it just disappear after a couple weeks? i mean thats just assuming it has the same effect as ankle weights.

anyway, to be honest, i would also say they arent worth the money.

I have never used a weight belt except when I went scuba diving so I can't comment on that. I have however used a friends weight vest and loved it. I borrowed it for 3 months and found it was great. It wasn't uncomfortable, it didn't change my centre of gravity. I was sad to give it back. Also when i had to give it back I continued to train with weights and plyos and certainly didn't lose the gains I made.

Regards

Jaydub

no you usually only lose your vertical when you stop using them, i also believe vjb and tvp answer this.
