like i said, it is possible, but it's gonna come down to a few things: are you genetically capable of reaching 40? will you have any setbacks (injury, etc)? Will you be doing exactly the right things every day? are you actually playing a sport (it'll be hard to gain during a season)?
for almost everybody its hard not to encounter a couple of those, so understand that. a lot of people don't mention the difficulties along the way

Re: 40 inches
hmm.. my problem is commitment. i`m too committed to training and i do plyos every other day..sometimes every day, BUT i feel good, i`m not tired,i feel like i could go back and do at least 50% of workout, i did VJB wen i had a diarea, ankle wasn`t totally healed - i did vjb anyway...DAMN i won`t get far with this . BTW today i finished advanced plyos. i did them with swelling ankle..whatever. i`m too committed when i rest a day or two, i feel like i`m resting too much..hehe how it sounds to u?

Re: 40 inches
u shuld take at least 1 day off in between plyo workouts cuz they target the nerve systeme and takes way longer to recover

Re: 40 inches
well it also depends how hard of plyos he's doing. i mean, basketball is highly plyometric, but you can play every day if you're not going too hard.
but the more important issue with doing plyos so frequently is that defeats the point. they're not an endurance tool. do too much volume, then your body will adapt to the hiigh volume and you'll never gain. best way to do it: as soon as you hit a PR stop the workout. really thats a good way to handle any workout, plyos, weights, sprints, etc. once you hit a PR stop

Re: 40 inches
guys remember doing plyos like said above should only be done explosivally, 70 percent of your vertical jump results are in the first set and about the rest in the second set, so dont over do it because after that your no longer exercising explosively.
