those drill are mainly for ball familiarisation something tta at a high level you wont really need to do too much but are extremely good to have a group of kids who haven't played before do. its gets them used to using their fingers not palms to dribble and so on and so forth but at your level you proably wont need them.
although the one where you tap it between your hands in front of your face is a very good drill. i dont know wether he posted it because i didnt read all of it but that works

Re: Krzysoljas dribbling program
Ok, I understand the concepts.
But, if you wanted to get a feel for the ball to help you functionally, wouldn't you use the same motions/concepts/ideas of actually dribbling? Just because you understand that you use the fingers instead of the palms to circle the ball around you, that will only help minimally when you totally change it up and start dribbling. There isn't much muscle memory going on for the right types of things, and if a kid never dribbled before and only did this program, when he actually started to play in a game, he wouldn't do DIDDLEY SQUAT (of course, I haven't done scientific research on this or anything, just from my experience and those who I play with).

I agree with you on this...if a kid only did drills of familiarizing the ball and never any dribbling, his ball handlign skills would only get so far

yeh your right they would only get so far the idea is to get them comfortable with the ball on their fingertips rather than palms which is what a young kid does with a ball and then you move on to dribbling what i usually do with a group of beginners is have them copy what i do with the ball. ill start by going round my waist, then ill move it up around my head, then my ankles, then all 3 together in one big motion a few times.then the ball tapping one as fast as they can. then open my legs and do figure eights through my legs still not dribbling it. then i let them bounce it their right hand then stop and do it with their left staying on the spot obviously. then i do the whole sit down lie down routine whilst dribbling with them following by figure 8 dribbles through my legs. then at the end just for giggles they all have a go at the spider dribble before going into a little warm up game.
and that is how those drills are used for kids basically

Re: Krzysoljas dribbling program
Ok, for kids it might work fine. But as long as you are familiarizing yourself with the ball on your fingers, why not just dribble without your palm? Skip all of the intermediate steps. The drill for kids should be dribble 30 seconds per hand without palm. That would skip the middle drill and jump them right into stuff that they could use.
Right?

What exactly do u mean dribbling without your palm. when i dirbble my palm never touch teh ball anyways, its mainly my fniger tips and fingers

yeh maybe its entirely up to you wether you do these sections in a dribbling programme i would personally do them because they do have some effect on your control over the ball but it doesnt really matter if you dont
