Bench Press means sh*t to upper body compared to most other things.
Obviously bench pressing has become the traditional "I'm Strong" exercise, but no point in specializing workouts designed to increase it. If you want upper body strength for post players, then you need functional upper body strength (ie: not bench press).

cuz i used to weight 130lbs and i could bench 150, but now i am 140 and my bench is still the same. i wana play running back in football in grade 11 so i need to get a stronger upper body.

right now i havent work on bench press in 1 year.

ok you need to work on speed and vertical and not basketball but football you may have trouble making team.

uh i dont really give a shit about football that much. but grade 11 is my varsity year and all my friends are joining. I was a pretty good runnin back during the times i played full contact football at lunch.

i care about bball more tho. why are you guys so supportive of me bench pressing?

for foot ball also work on shoulders and we support the bench press, but for basketball i reccomend you work on pulling movements to steal the ball

yeah i am gona make sure i work all parts of my body well. in the Blast your Bench program there is a bunch of helper exercises to help with bench press and some of them are like shoulder and ab exercises.

i am taking this whole week off from weight lifting for my body to recover cuz my previous sced was a bit too harsh

good but i would not apply this with any lower leg exercises, it might decrease vert and make slower i have not read it yet but tommorow i will.

no i mean dont apply the bench program to your legs it says i think you can do that it will over work the legs and make them tired for jumping. because you work out like 5 times a week,
