I would say just the classic low weight, high reps strategy.

btw, high reps + heavy weights= muscle size?

i think i saw that somewhere, but dunno if its any good..

btw, anything you guys recommend i do for lower body toning(calves etc.)? i find that a little harder to do than upper body.

There are three things guys have to do to keep bodyfat percentage down

1. Weight train. It doesnt matter for the reps because weight training is not about burning fat its about building the muscle mass. doing 12-15 reps is actually wrong. If you want to look lean, you wil need big muscles combined with low body fat. To do taht you need to train for max strength in weight room to build muscle mass. Weight room isnt used for burning fat, theres another place to do that...

2. Cardio Exercise. Do cardio about 60% of your max heart rate at least 4 times a week. This is when your fat is burning not in the weight room!

3. Most importantly: eat healthy. if you wana lose bodyfat, no more pop, chips, McDonalds, fries or any sugary or fatty food from now on. Eat twice as much fruit and drink at LEAST 16 cups of water a day! this is essential.

rangerid we dont want to start him off on a diet that has him drinking 16 cups of water a day if his body is not use to that it could kill him because water gets rid of the salt in your body if you run out of salt you could die. so work your way up and makesure you eat some salt in one of your foods.
