There are basically a heap of different programs and to be honest none of them are that amazing. The real value is in giving you food for thought about what makes up the kinds of things in your training. Kelly B for example loves squats, but a lot of the jump experts love the deadlift more. Also lots of them love kettlebells. Man do these guys bang on about kettlebells.

So to all you guys I apologize for not sharing. It is not because I am greedy, I just don't want to rob the bloke who took the time to make it. No doubt you will all have yourselves a copy soon and when you do you will be wondering what allt he fuss is about.

Lets forget to try getting anything from this guy this is a community which helps each other out he might not want to share jump experts with others so we will have to try another method.

jaydubc2m: i know you don't wanna share the jump experts but pls don't brag about having we want to know from people who have jump experts and wanna share it. if you don't then it is ok.
but pls don't brag. if you want help that is ok.

and everyone else lets stop annoying him if he does his bit and doesn't brag we can do ours.
so lets forget about this argument and get along with each other and jaydubc2m pls stop bragging you might think it is not braggin but telling people it is not that good it just is separate interview of different people just saying that makes peopel annoyed.

hope we all can get along and everyone lets carry on getting that jump experts no matter what anyone says how good or bad it is it is rated second best after tvp. im talking about any ideas you ahve ogf getting like donating little together.

so lets get to work

Just stop trying to find it guys, what do u guys really want it for? i am willing to bet serious money that you guys are already on some sort of jump program and you are not gona start Jump Experts. Its something you guys just want to have for no real reason.

Most of you wont read anything thats longer than 3 pages, especially if its scientific shits.

Hi Chriso

For the most part the experts talked about getting stronger. Unlike Kelly B of VJB, they mostly talked up getting strong on your deadlift more than your squat, although one guy did talk up getting strong on your squat. Several of the experts interviewed where Kettlebell guru's and they all recommend doing kettlebell swings to improve the hip extension and explosively train the P-Chain. I don't own kettlebells but have found swinging an Olympic plate with handles has worked very well instead.

Another 2 Expert talked up using rubber bands to optimize your training. There is a free article here:

http://www.vertical-jump-homepage.com/rubber_band.html

Which outlines the same information as these guys. One of the rubber band guys was Jon Hinds who invented the power jumper. I have one of these and love it. However, as stated in another thread my training is pretty sporadic with it because I am rarely at home for more than two weeks in a row.

Then there is Virgil Aponte himself who put it all together and he talks about stair training which he used when he was coach of the NY Liberty in the WNBA. Unsure how beneficial that is given how low women jump.

The key points i took away are that you get strong on the deadlift and squats, kettlebell swings are good for developing explosive hip extension, rubber bands are very effective, cut the body fat, and plyometrics are the be all and end all and are really best used once you have strength.

Cheers

Another expert talks about nutrition and cutting body fat. Nutrition to give you more energy, aid with recovery etc, and also obviously cutting body fat is key to improving your vertical.

Interesting, kettlebell swings... Lol i went on the net and looked up the price of kettelbell and a 18lb one cost like $50!!!!!!! AAAAAAHHHH... i mean its a piece of metal crap shaped like a feraking kettle, are those guys nuts or just took too much drugs before they made the price???

its ridiculous! i wuolndt buy it even if i had $100000000000000000000. its ridiculosu and its without shipping. some of the shipping fees for KBs actually cost mor than the KB itself. I mean whats up with that???

I also read the artical from that jumpsite you gave jay, and it says that deadlift is as good if not superior to squats. What do you think is the better exercise? (this probably can be a thread on its own)

I am with Redsoxfan, deadlifts all the way. Also for K-bell swings, try using an Olympic plate with the handles and swinging it instead. It works pretty well also.
