Vertical Jump Bible Help
Hello, i just purchased VJB today. From the looks of it, its very promising. Its just that theres a little wayyyyyy too much content/info in my opinion. So right now im in a situation where im very confused. Theres so much exercises and workouts its crazy. For people who are doing VJB, i have some questions,
1. I am going to do Beginner or Novice Plyometrics once i begin. But after i finish beginner, do i go to novice, and novice to intermediate, etc?
2. What is a good/the best schedule to organize workouts of Plyometrics and Bodytraining?
There are more questions i have but im too tired to think right now -_-
So i will post more tomorrow.
Oh and if theres any special advice i should know when using VJB or any Vertical Jump Exercises for that matter plz tell me.
Cuz im just a 14 year old Filipino who wants to increase his vert but dont know squat. The only Vertical Program i used was Air Alert and it didnt give me barely any results.
Thx.

Re: Vertical Jump Bible Help
3. Do the programs and workouts require basketball shoes?
4.How hard are the workouts? Because right now my body is kinda unconditioned but i think i can survive VJB. Are they harder than Air Alert? How Long Are the Workouts?
5. How do you know if your doing the exercises correctly?
6. Do any of the exercises involve sprinting in distances like yards and meters?
7. How do you measure your current Vertical?
Sorry for so many questions. Its just that i want to make sure i am doing the exercises right so i can get the most inches i can get.

Re: Vertical Jump Bible Help
1. Start with begginer then once your finished move on to novice etc
2. Bodytraining im guessing you mean bodyweight workout i really suggest if you can get access to weights do novice weights it will help you so much more. If not do plyos first then rest for 2-2.5 hours then do bodyweight/novice weight training.
3. Do it in whatever shoes its the most comfortable/safest for you.
4. The first couple may be tough but once your body gets used to it wont be as difficult. Usually for me plyos workout lasted 45-1hr and weights lasted an 1hr
5. If your not sure of the exercises youtube them. That will give you a good visual description for you.
6. Theres none in the begginer plyometrics but as you advance programs there will be sprints.
Do novice weights over bodyweight. Its really easy to learn how to squat.

Re: Vertical Jump Bible Help
If you wanna measure your vertical, just stand next to a wall with tape or chalk on your finger and stretch out as high as you can and touch the wall. Place the tape at the highest point you touched. Now jump as high as you can and put tape on the spot where you are highest. After that subtract your standing reach from the height of the highest point you touched on the wall. Thats your vertical jump.
Heres a video if you don't understand..

I dont have any weights or gym near by so im just gonna do Plyometrics and the body weight workout. For the shoes, it can be any basketball shoes right?
Also, after you beginner, how long do you wait to do the next one? can you just do it the next day?

Re: Vertical Jump Bible Help
Yes, basketball shoes are fine. I would say to wait about a week before doing the next routine.

Re: Vertical Jump Bible Help
i have the vjb n i really appreciate all the info in it, one key thing to remember is the chart that compares weights, plyos, and weights+plyos, it shows that by combining weights and plyos u can achieve over twice the results that u would get from doing just weights or just plyos.
