dont do weight training after doing a plyometrics program the weights are to make you stronger for the plyos so do both i did plyos in the morning and bodyweight exercises at night you would do weights at night

Re: if you have weights
Hey guys you seem real helpful i'd just like to ask some questions. I bought this book NBA power conditioning and it has all these mad programs for speed, strength, jumping etc. Well i'm doing the strength base program so i can go onto polymetrics program and i've been doing the program for about 4 weeks now and i've seen some gains in my two footed jump. About maybe 3inches inches which is alright i guess but it seems that my 1 legged jump ( i get much higher on my one legged jump about 31inches, my two footed jump with no run up about 26inches run up about 28 inches) i haven't seen any results my 1 legged jump has been the same. Ive been doing hack squats ( dont like doing normal squats until i grow more i'm only 15 and 5"10 i know it doesn't stunt your growth i just dont want to decompress my spine so i have to keep doing stretches to lengthen it) and just basic things calf rasies, back extensions, bicep curls etc etc. I just want to know if only polymetrics increases your 1 legged jump becuase 1 legged jumps rely more on your tendons and things. Will i see gains in my 1 legged jump after a couple of more weeks? The first 6 weeks are on increasing muscle mass so its high reps then the last 6 weeks have lower reps about 6 reps per set. I guess thats when i get power and explosiveness but i'm just not really sure can you guys help me out?? Sorry for typing too much thanks alot!!!

Re: if you have weights
Hey um i tried to reply before but i'm not sure if it posted for some reason if it did dont read this i'm sorry its just what i said before.
I've been doing this strength base program i got from a book i bought called NBA power conditioning, its a really good book with lots of programs for strength, speed, agility, polymetrics, jumping etc etc. It was made by a bunch of NBA trainers so they know what basketball players need. Anyway, i've been doing the program for about 4 weeks now and it seems that i have made alittle bit of gains on my 2 footed vertical jump about from 24-27 inches which is alright i guess but its seems i haven't gained anything on my 1 legged jump and since i can get considerably higher in my 1 legged jump about 31 inches i was wondering why only my 2 foooted jump is only increasing. Do i have to do polymetrics after this program to increase my 1 legged jump? The exercises i do in the program are basic such as squats, calf rasies, back extensions, ab crunches, bicep curls, dumbell lat rows, tricep extension etc etc just basic strength training. Thanks for reading this i'm just wondering will it take time for my 1 legged jump vert to increase? Becuase i think i'm naturally gifted with jumping cuz i've had a 31inch 1 legged jump without no training what so ever i can grab the ring at about 5'10 which is alright maybe thats not good i dunno but i just no comparing with mah friends that much jump is alright. Well anyways i'd appreciate any help.

Re: if you have weights
Yea i've been tryin that i've been doing one legged extensions and calf rasies i found out that it helps both 1 legged and two legged jumps on vertcoach. But it just seems that my Two legged jump is the one that is only getting results which is good i guess. But my 1 legged jump is like 5-7inches higher.

Re: if you have weights
Oh yeah btw when you see a workout program and it says like 10-10-8-8 for example for like the reps of each set do you change the weight for each set. Cuz like right there is 4 sets but you do 10 on the frist 10 on the second and 8 on the last two so like do you keep the same weight the whole way through or what? and if you had a for example for squats 6-4-2 would that help strength or would it be better to do like 3 reps of like 2 instead cuz my program dosen't have that little. Like the peaking phase of it you do like 6-4-2 reps and iw as just wondering if that would help with strength.
