Default Shooting Elbow

How should your elbow be for shooting, I heard it's supposed to be an L-shaped?
I've got the fundamentals down but the only thing is my elbow.

Your forearm should be at 90 degrees with your arm. That is your starting position. When you finish your arm and forearm will be in one straight line.

Your elbow should be at 90 degrees. One thing to note though is that even though it is at 90 degrees your upper arm doesn't have to be parallel to the ground. The 90 degree angle still remains if your upper arm is not parallel to the ground. If you don't know what I mean just tell me. If you are willing to buy a DVD to improve your shot then I would recommend Better Basketball Better Shooting 2. I have had many bad shooting forms and it really helped to make my shot look great. This is a picture of Kobe Bryant shooting with perfect form.

Almost perfect. if you look carefully kobes feet are pointing in a different direction from where his shoulders are. Of course you cant do to much to help that. BUT the most important thing is that the ball goes strainght and if your arm points at the dead center of the goal then the ball will go straight if you have a decent stroke. having your feet pointed at the goal will give you more power, increase your range, make it easier to keep your arm pointed at the goal. Kobe doesnt need his feet pointed directly at the goal because his arm is straight and he is strong enough to get the ball to the goal.

Talking Re: Shooting Elbow

I shoot like the late Len Bias it took me only 1 month to really master it. at first I needed to hang time and but after that all that it requires is a good arc and follow-thru

place your arms on a table and make a 90 degrees on your arms, that would exercise your arms, and in shooting once you release it should make a straight line or something like that, remember to follow-through.
