True beginners are advised to do more volume first, to start off with anyway. Partly for skill learning, partly for hypertrophy and tendon health. But I guess it depends on your starting point.
Oh man, I just look at your vert lately, 32 inches! I remembered last August my vert was 26 and yours was 26 also. And after 8 months and all those injuries that happened to me, mine is still 26, life is really unfair.
