You said "for sure" - like positive results are guaranteed. You cannot guarantee inches like that esp. to well conditioned athletes. Your logic is: X will "for sure" work because I did X and it worked for me and it also worked for A, B, C .... This is flawed and a biased outlook.
Ultimately, conventional thinking is that jump rope generally makes you better at jumping rope and does little if anything to boost your maximum vertical jump. Benefits are increased fitness, cardio and strengthened tendons/ligaments in the feet. For novice athletes, jump rope can increase vertical jump only because it improves muscle coordination etc.. i.e. they are novices. Novice athletes can pretty much do most things and make gains.
