To crossem up: Alright, good work, I'm glad for you can touch the rim because I know exactly how it feels.
By the way I made myself a program too, but it's bodyweight program.

Re: Touched Rim After 2 days of my program
nice, im 7'6 at 5'10 lol, so that means you've got a 31 inch running vert, nice , you still got quite a bit to go tho, so get moving, congrats for getting rim!, time for grabs next time, then wrist slaps, then dunkkssss and then if your insane go for elbow slams or head to rim =)

Re: Touched Rim After 2 days of my program
If I strapped ankle weights to the bottom of my shoes, would it act like a jump sole because my heel never touches the ground and they also weigh like five pounds. I was thinking about doing some exercise with the ankle weights stapped on. What do you think?

I'm the same height, age and reach as you this intrigues me.
How far away were you before you started? I can usually hit the bottom of the backboard with a run up.

Run up or not?
And so you were about half way up the net?
Looks like I'm gonna do this program.

Re: Touched Rim After 2 days of my program
Just because the program got him gains, doesent necaserily mean you will, everybody adapts and reacts differently to various types of programs etc. For all you know this may actually hinder your vert. Then again it doesent hurt to give things a go and see how it goes. Usually when you get gains like he did, it is because he has only just engaged in vert training (rank beginners, and can gain from virtually anything, knee alert (air alert) lol

Re: Touched Rim After 2 days of my program
I also fail to see how depth jumps will provide any kind of benefits especially when there is no strength base evident. 1x15, depth jumps should never be done continuously like that for repetitions, you would be much better of changing that to 3x5 anyway. By doing some of these plyometric excercises without a strength base there is an increased risk of injury, i would reccomend doing a begginers plyometric program which focuses on building a plyometric base for movement efficiency, reactivity, jumping coordination and then building it up from there.
Crossmeup are you a 1 or 2 legged jumper?

Don't do this. There are better methods of increasing your vertical than using ankle weights, especially if you are a beginner.
