Spin moves to the left or right. Spin and step back jumpers. Spin then pump fake to up and unders. The CLASSIC drop step.

yea i hear ya johndecena, my favorite move is the up and under and spin moves and any combos of that, im tryin to develop some better jump hook cause that would help set up the up and unders better

my go to is the sky-hook either way baseline or middle
My backup and the one i usual do is as im about to catch the ball i square up, catch the ball and then face my defender. Either shoot, attack or post him up.

when u are playing post a basic is to turn and face. thats how u start most post moves. from there u can put up a shot, a fake, from the fake u can go around base side, or go out and put up a baby hook, sky hook, or spin, crossover or whatever. there are sooooo many options from turning and facing.

Not everything starts with a faceup. If you have strength, you back your man down, get them off balance, pull a move. If you don't have that strength, then I could see going faceup.

My bad, I thought the question was about post-up moves, not about facing up.

To "post up" is to establish a position in the low post, the area near the basket below the foul line, usually in order to take advantage of a smaller defender. The offensive player usually faces away from the basket, so that his body can protect the ball from the defender. From this position, options such as spinning or backing down the defender to close in to the basket for better scoring opportunities become available to him.

I must have been mistaken...

dude, now im confused. i was saying that facing the ring is the way that most post moves are started. then u said, not all post moves are started by facing the ring, and thats why i replied saying, yeh thats why i said most post moves start with a faceup, not all. i think u just misunderstood my post..
