Question Shot line

In Better Shooting it says that ur shot line is depended on your dominant eye, so if ur right eyed right handed u bring ur shot a little to the right and same with left. then it says that if ur RIGHT handed LEFT eyed then u bring it to the middle of ur face. it also says keep ur elbow straight, its not hard from right\left but middle? u have to cover one eye in order to do that?
i dont get it lol..

Well, in the second one it says thand you don't have to have your elbow straight under the ball, but your palm should still face the basket. I guess you have to cover the left eye so you use your right eye to locate the rim.
If you need the second one:

It's called "flying elbows" if you don't bring your elbows in. But I try to bring my elbows in these days, I lose most of of strength when I do so. So I think I would just keep practicing my old shooting form. Many NBA players have flying elbows, like Jason Terry.

yeah but covering one eye fuks up ur aim, so ill jus shoot wit it abit bent, coz from pistol pete he says that ur dominant eye aims while the other judges the distance so u need both eyes open, if i shoot on my right my shot goes way off so yeh

I didn't really pay attention because I'm left handed and left eye dominant so I don't have to worry but I think that anything that Rick Torbett says I will believe and do because everything I've heard from the better basketball dvds has been dead on.

covering one eye would throw off your shot. Pistol pete explains it in his DVD. if one eye is covered you'll probably under or overthrow the basketball.
