I can finally get high enough to dunk. After a lot of hard work. But I just can't seem to actually put the ball in the rim. I can dunk a volleyball and girls ball. The only time I actually got one down was when I had a team mate throw an alley oop to me. Any one got any tips.
hahaha. that used to happen to me alot on a gay 7'6 when i was like 13 and had a 12" vert =p
but nah, if youre not making the dunks, its just coz you need practice at them. it took me over 50+ attempts before i could dunk cleanly on 8'6 =p even though i had enough vert
i was in your same position just a few months ago here are my tips
when you go consintrate on flicking your wrist
jump strait up (sometimes people jump to early and are jumping forward)
if you can dunk with a girls ball keep doing that so your techneck will improve
strech your arm as high as you can
be gental you dont to slam it in first just lightly place it in
no i can't palm the ball which is why i think i prob cant really dunk. but when i jump the ball always hits the front rim on the way up and comes out of my hand
I dont know for shure but it sounds like u might need 1or2 more inches but if u work on your forum u should get it soon
ya maybe another inch, some1 in this thread said that it happend to them wen they were like 13 on a 7 ft basket, lol same thing happend to me. U just gotta practice it more and maybe u do need that one more inch, but it sounds like ur close dont quit.
