Default where should the weights exert on?

i just finished beginner and bodyweights and i'm restin, i would do novice and bodyweights soon, since i can't go to to the gym and i want to increase the intensity of the weights, i want to hold two 30 pounds dumbells when doing bodyweights when is possible. so my question is, should i hold them in my hands or put them on my back(in my backpack)?

I don't think putting it in your backpack is a good idea, it will rip and you can hurt your back, don't do the weights while u do that.

I have done bodyweight exercises with dumbbells, ankle weights, medicine balls etc.. Many people like to use kettle bells. There are a lot of ways to increase the difficulty of bodyweight work. I think the dumbbells would be a great idea. But bodyweight exercises are hard to begin with. 60 pounds of extra weight is alot!

try to avoid weights if you can increase intensity with your bodyweight
