Cool Jump rope?!

What do you think,could i increase my vert for about 3-4 inches just by doing "jump ropes"?!

it might. jumping rope is like plyometrics. but I would recommend jumping rope as a "warm up" rather than a "work out."

if you wanna do plyometrics (which is like jump roping), here's a good link that contains some plyometrics exercises that i find effective.

But i only want 2 do jump rope,nothing else...will i see some gains in a month or so(if i jump rope every day)?!

I'm sure doing different types of jump roping, (Speed, high jumps, running while jump roping).

madprops you already know that the calves play a small role in jumping, maybe 3 to 4 inches in about 5 months. jump rope is like air alert a better cardio than vertical jump enhancement.

I didnt know that.
But will it give me more energy and explosiveness?! Cuz when i jump a few times 2 grab the ring or sumt'n i loose all the "motivation" and then im like a lazy bitch...

Yes jump rope will help, Jason Richardson use to jump rope everyday. Started off at 1000 and would increase it 100 more every week.

i bet he has ankle problems unless he did them on shock absorbant mats. if you are going to jump 100 times you might as well just do air alert and kill your legs. jump rope is cardio.

jump roping is a good cardio exercise to build calf strenghth.
