Default Quick Question about VJB

I am going to start VJB beginners plyos and bodyweight. It says that if you combine the plyos with the weight you should only do both twice a week. If I did them 3 times a week.....would that be a bad thing or would it be beneficial? And say you do the plyos first in the morning...can you do the bodyweight straight after it....or do you have to a break?

I'd stick to what the bible says. In my opinion I'm loving the slightly strength heavy (JUST plyos once a week, with only a little bit the other two times) intermediate workout. If it tells you only to do something twice a week though, follow the thing.

If you have spent a lot of time studying how to improve your vertical jump and you want to make your own program or tweak an existing one thats fine. But people here spend way to much time asking questions about things that it clearly states in the VJB. I would do it as many times a week as the program says.

I general do strength training immediately after plyos. An am/pm split could probably also be used. The key is not to overtrain.

just follow whatever it says, recovery and rest time are very important.

and i dont think you would do them thrice a week after you try them (first, they are very exhausting, i don't really enjoy doing them. second, you need at lease 48 hours to fully recover, you would feel so sore even on the second day after the workout.)

for the second question, do plyos in the morning and bodyweights in the afternoon is better, but since i have to go to school, i just do bodyweights an hour after plyos (try to have some break) in the afternoon.

Your not suppose to take a break, your muscles relax then start working again.

DONT TAKE A BREAK! do the weight training then ployo.
Good luck.
