yeh, hes right, do lots of pushups, then diamond pushups, raised leg pushups, fingertip pushups and i armed pushups. then if u can raised leg one armed pushups :P then u will have some real shoulder strength. if u dont have access to weights u can do bodyweight exercises. do triceps dips, dips, pushups, tennis ball squeezes, and any other arms exercise u can think of that doesnt invole weights.if u hav weights, u can do bicep curls, tricep lifts, shoulder shrugs, shoulder presses and eny other one u want. for legs, u can do the bodyweight workout from vjb, or if u have access to weights, do novice weights or just lots of leg strengthening exercises, squats, deadlifts, leg presses, hamstring curls, that kind of thing,

push ups wont really help you put on muscle you need to get access to some weights if you really want to improve. Doing tons of push ups could give you the really cut look but they wont give you too much muscle or stregnth.

edit wow you cant do ten push ups yet, might as well keep doing that 4 a while cuse your bodyweight is challenging enough for you at this time and i dont think you could even bench the bar yet.

you're young, so i'd stick to working with your own body weight until you can do 20 solid pushups. then hit weights LIGHTLY, don't work with weights at your limit.

they can giv u strength, u dont always hav to have muscle to be strong. they develop strong shoulders. look at a boxer, hav a look at his shoulders, do u know how many pushups boxers have to do? lol
