Default can i???

Play ball in my schools varsity fall team and still do plyos and weights,,
please guys lets stay on topic!
edit: o and will weights increase my running vert? or should i focus on plyos,

then again i have bad knees

well i pretty much do the same thing, i play in a bball team and still do weights. i play light basketball at school, and play hard 1-3times a week outside of school, so that counts as my plyo's.

i got bad knees too =p but i guess as long as you get enough rest for your school's games, then you should be fine.

if you feel dead, cut down on plyo's or weights. i'd say plyo's. dont stress yourself

i think we should not do plyos during the season, right? and i think do weights in season is fine.

what i know is running vert goes up by plyos. at least for me! i could dunk off 2 feet from plyos. but if i have a little run-up i cant go up that much because i dont have done any strenght training.

Standing vert - 32
Running vert - 36
Bench press - 231 lbs
Squat - 300 lbs

running vertical can be increased by weight training, but you should do one legged exercises.

sheesh all the time u spend on this forum u think u would know this
lift weights during the season dont do plyos basketball will do good for plyos during the season

im kinda doing that right now its not botherin me tho and im still getin increased vert

aight then i wont do plyos and ill continue the weights ans use single leg exercises....... should i do everything single leg even though im a 2 foot jumper?

wtf if ur 2 legged you wouldnt want to improve your 2 legged jump not your 1 leg jump

training for one leg also helps with 2 legged jumping.
