Yea also adding to that, some people say the faster you are the higher you can jump (vertical lol) And that's kinda BS..I run about a 5 flat 40 and my vertical is crap (my first post in like 4 months lol so I can't remember if you can swear :P)

It's only endurance depending on how many reps you do. It also depends on how fast you lift that weight. Generally, when a vertical program tells you to do 50% of your 1RM for an exercise, it will also tell you to lift it explosively. I think the only time your gonna be doing 50% on an exercise is for the jump squat.

That's okay right? cuz i tried lifting 70% of my max and it was way too easy.
If you're lifting 85% of your max super explosively, it's probably not your max. Just saying.

Or your a freak. But most likely, it's not your max. I'd test again soon.

How are you guys able to lift 80 per cent of your max more than once? Max means what you can lift only once... does that 20 per cent off make such a difference that you can lift it like 5 times?

Absolutely. That 20% is a lot. Above 90% is where it only makes a few reps difference.

Does your max basically mean the most weight that you can do 1 rep with?
