Default Help with 2 foot take off!!!

Which leg do u plant first? How deep do u bend in knees? When do u take off? AND so on! Your tips are welcome!

Vert leap - 39.2 in
Standing vert - 32
Running vert - 36
Bench press - 231 lbs
Squat - 300 lbs

you would plant you strongest foot or the most powerful foot in front to push off. you can bend your knee as far as you like but you want to work on not bending your leg more than 1/4 down because it effects the speed at which you jump.

Thanks, but how can i know which leg is stronger? Leg which i use to take off?

there are a couple ways, use the leg which is the same side as the arm you write. use the foot you use first while sprinting. or stand still and have someone in back of you push you forward whichever foot moves first is your better foot this usually works.

man this is the exact problem i am having, except i cant do a running vert at all

i just stumble and shuffle as i aproahc the hoop

yea...i`ve been there..i`m trying to figure out my technique for about 3 months but now i think im on the right way

its kinda hard 2 explain ok run 2 them rim plant ur leg that u dont use to shoot with then plant ur right leg bend ur knees jump dont forget to swing ur arms.

i think in vjb it says u do a minijump stop so u get more out of your horizontal momentum or something

just do what u do 4 a layup. im right handed and i kick a ball with my right foot but becoz i play bball in my layups i run and jump off my left leg and shoot with my right arm so im stronger in my left leg at jumping. just work out what u do 4 layups and copy that.

Thats totally different. layups you do a 1 foot jump but since i am a bilateral jumper, my running vert needs to be bilateral and i cant seem to do it.
