personally i think you'd benefit more by continuing the 2 weekly workouts instead of measuring your max...but i think the best solution wud be to use the "post activation potentiation" trick kelly suggests...u know, the one like a batter using a donut in the on-deck circle? use that trick during your warm-up, u know, like maybe 5lb heavier than your previous 1rep max and if you could do that, then use that for your new 1RM. This way you'll make better progress than just testing.

P.S. what gym do you go to in Vancouver?

I was wondering if it was okay to take a week off after completing every phase to find out my newest squat and deadlift max so I know what 80% of my new max is. (This means I would fininsh Novice Weights in 16 weeks instead of 12. This also provide every fourth week as sort of an ultimate recovery week)

I have also emailed Kelly and am waiting for a reply. I want to know what you guys think.

Thanks.
i have send kelly a lotta e-mails and he has only responded 2 like 2 of em.out of like 100.

Thanks but Kelly said it would be okay to do so. and i think its a good idea to def retest myself after my first phase cuz my original max of 125lbs is like way off...
