Default Bad Shooting Form?

yea so after months of practicing my shot i never really got it down until today

all i did to my form was add in a hop forward. so now whenever i shoot i jump a foot forward. it goes in like 60% of the time and i was so happy but is going to be a bad habit? do nba players jump forward when they take jump shots? what should i do guys?

alright mate, don't worry about how the NBA players shoot, just focus on yourself and how you shoot the ball but seriously if a hop forward helps your shot then stick to it and just continue that way until you get told by say a basketball player or a good streetballer that your form is wrong and that they will give up some time to help with your techinque, well thats all i have to say and I hope it helps abit, peace..

I don't imitate anyone. I just go by what works for me. Sometimes I jump forward. Not all the time. Anyway, I don't think anyone should be trying to replicate anyone's style. First of all, it might not work for you, and second of all, don't you want a form of your own?

I used to have the same problem in 9th grade with my shot being unconsistent. it was about 50%-60%. i really think it was because my coach and my trainers kept tryna make me change my shot. But my cousin whos a college coach in Canada told me to just find a shot that works for me and just stick to it. so i found my own shot and now instead of playing small forward i play guard and SF and my percentage is around 75-80%. So with all that being said just do what works wit you and stick wit it!!!!

well I have been doing what works for me and recently my friend told me that my elbow is too far out, and has been telling me to keep it in so as of friday night ive been trying to keep my elbow in but, its really not working. Maybe I have gotten used to my old shot but, if I do keep my elbow in according to him my shot will be more consistent. what do yu think I should do.
