well if you want to play like the warriors just tell your team that a shot not taken is a bad shot. Just get them to run fast break drills, get the bigs to become goood outlet passers, etc etc.

Try coachesclipboard for more drills.

lol im not a coach but i dont know too many fast break plays. Just give your fastest and bestballhandler-passer the ball and let him create. Do alot of conditioning if your teams going to run.

well i dnt really no any fast break plays, we just go lyk 2 on 1 and shit. but a good full court play is stretch. after the other team scores 2 guys line up at the elbows, 1 at half court, and 1 at the free throw line down the other end. the 2 players on the elbows run and screen for each other, and then the inbounder passes to one of them, then the guy at half court leads out to the side the ball is on and he gets passed the ball, the other players are runing up the court. then the guy up the other end leads out and gets passed the ball, then the guys are running past him and he passes to one and they have an easy layup. we scored lyk half our point of this in our grand final last season and we were a pretty small team but we still won.

well a good drill for fast break is 3 on 2 2 on 1, but you gotta make sure they go fast or it will take away some of its value.

The most important thing to remember with a fast break team is that you can pass the ball quicker than any of them can run up the court.

I would advise alot of transition drills like 3 v 2 then 2 v1 or a continuous 3 v 3. Also simple pass and go drills like the 4 corner passing drill. My favourite give and go drills are just take a 3 v 3 make it into a nice small area, say anywhere inside the 3 point line to the baseline is what i usually do. You condition it so there is no dribbling. You can't make a shot before you have completed a set number of passes and then let them make up the rest of the rules. Allow them to be a bit creative with it because it isn't the most interesting drill.

Transition time is obviousy very important to a fast breaking team but if you add good give and go passing to the team then they'll fly away from teh defenders.

I would also try to have a set passing movement for a fast break. My team aren't fast breakers but they know what to do when they are. We go from the rebound to the outlet, SG/SF (varies on who rebounds obviously but assuming it is the PF/C) who is stood on the wing at around free throw line extended. To the midde to the PG who can either drive to the hoop or wait for the support to come from the wings.

I think its possible on the offensive end but it might be hard on the defensive end. i dont think there is really a play other than out run the center of the opposite team with your smaller guyz. or if you cant, you set a halfcourt play where you isolate your smaller guy against the center of the opposite team. You then let your smaller guy take the center of the dribble. that will work only if you have a guard instead of a center on your team.
