Default Finishing your drive.

I was wondering if anyone have any tips or drills for finishing a drive. I realised that I cannot finish my drive and I always pass the ball away after I penetrated the defense. Any types of shot suggested?
Thanks a lot.

That's probably my specialty, one on one in the paint just test the defender with pivot fakes and see if he bites, if he watches the ball just for example, look to the left and imediately dribble to the right and don't stop either or your could just fake a shot and just follow through with the lay-up, it's pretty easy.

Wait, I just re-read and you said after you penetrated the defence?

I don't really see what the problem is maybe just don't stop running so no one can catch you while driving for the lay-up or if you aren't to good at lay-up's maybe just practice. However if it's in a game and lets say a 3 on 1 situation and you driving with 3 opponents infront of you either pass it out to a good shooter would be the right thing to do (what you already do) or if you think you could maybe score the basket and draw the foul aswell for the 3 point play, I'd only do that if your a good free throw shooter though because if you miss they lay up and suck at shooting your just throwing points away.

Hope I helped, again!

you GOTTA take it up strong and try to get contact. its the only way that you will be able to score time after time in the paint. just take it up strong.

Every time I drive right into the paint I am in such a fast speed that I can't stop myself. I think that's the problem.
