ok well i am probably the best ball handler on my team. I rock in practice and i always do good but in games its a different story. When i get the ball i get so freaked that im gonna lose the ball and i just pass it or shoot it without thinking. So what do you guys when nerves like this get to you?
ur lacking confidence. it will get better over time. just keep ur head high, and KNOW u are better than every1 else. do your thing and imagine every1 naked lol (nothing gay) just loosen up
just relax out there... pretend nobody iz in the gym and your at practice against your teamates... and get to the rack or shoot like you do in practice... you have to think like you Can't be stopped out there until you get over this fear...
play basketball against the best guys in your year at school, get your confidence up by playing hard against them. then in a game, just think all the guys your playing against are way worse than u and that u are the best

definately lacking confidence my coach always says u gotta let ur nuts hang show em' whose the man among boys and u just need to find a routine to relax b4 a game every1's different just b u that's what makes u different from every1 else
Imagine you control EVERYTHING that goes on, on the court. Don't be scared, look into your defenders eyes and show him your ready to make this game a living hell for his ass.

I was like that when I played for my base team in Korea. I was killin em in practice and pickup games but when it came to the real games I would choke. The crowd may be a factor. You just need to relax and don't worry about making mistakes. If you feel that uneasy feelimg coming on, just go hard to the rack several times and get some contact. That will get your game on track quick. Just have fun in the game and it will start coming to you. I would also throw in some fancy dribbling to get my confidence up. No not the AND1 stuff, not in a regulation game.
your lack at confidence you do not have much experience at playing. that's why. not for being boastful but that's true.. lacking of confidence means you don't have much experience..
