Post Re: i need help

ryan told me these tips (rayno3)

1.breathe out when u release the shot
2.forward foot should b pointed to the centre of the rim
3.hold follow through until ball hits the ground
4.always look at the back of the rim
5.when u flick the wrist, make sure its in line with the rim and not going to one side, like too much to teh left or too much to the right.

Umm BEEF?

I think its
1. Balance - have your shooting foot a little bit in front of the other
2. Eyes - look at the middle of the rim
3. Elbow - keep your elbow STRAIGHT
4. Follow Through - hold your follow through after your shot

get the technique right then practice, practice, practice. one of the only ways to get your shooting better but depends wat type of shot your going for but jsut practice everything from pull up shots off a drive, fada ways, set shots etc.

i seen that.. and you should have your feet apart facing the basket before and after you take the shot.. your follow through needs to be inline or a bit above the rim but not below or left/right.. and your guide hand should be on the side of the rim from your viewpoint.

keep your elbow straight and make sure you get a good stroke when you shoot because thats how you get the spin.

just shoot hundreds of shots everyday or whenever possible to get used to the rythmn and make sure you get a consistent arc on your shot.

also focus on short/midrange shots at first and dont go straight behind the arc. take high percentage shots to get your confidence up then move on to the harder ones once your comfortable with your shooting

hope this helps

heres my tip watch some pistol pete shooting on youtube, or follow this from the vid, with your index finger aim it at the back of the ring as long as your index finger is pointing at the ring after your release then the ball is going to go riight in there. It really helped me aswell, I used to be like yuo.
