marion was leavin after this year anyways, so at least they got shaq for him, who i think is better (amare+shaq) as ure line of defense and wen shaq retires phx will have alot of cap space to sign either lebron or carmelo....

Yeah I've been following up on this trade for like 4 days and then it happened.. But wow in everyway there are advantages and disadvantages, obviously in my opinion Miami probably got the better deal, now Dwyane Wade is crazy himself.. and with Marion, it'll be like Batman and Robin. As for the Suns.. they have to find out to work with Shaq and his aging.

Im still puzzled at the point of this trade on the suns side. Doesnt Stoudemire play Center? And hes really good so they would put him at forward and shaq at center? or would one of them be a bench player? I really dont understand as both Marion and Stoudemire are currently doing better than Shaq as far as stats go. But yeah as Sari said theyll free up cap space. I doubt carmelo will be leaving the Nuggets anytime soon but Lebron could dish the Cavs to get a team with better players.

i highly doubt the suns are gonna "slow it" down to dump it into shaq in the paint when the playoffs start. all the experts who say thats why they got him, to play in the half court game are just plain dumb. phx has thier own style and the whole team is used to it. they are not gonna change it for one player. dont get me wrong, i think shaq can still help them but at the same time i think he will hurt them. the suns should see some better improvements on d but i feel like thier offensive of game with slow down a bit

I think suns might get stronger because they'll be having more bigger and stronger man like shaq, get my point?

Everyone needs to remember, Shaq draws fouls. His team will be in the bonus earlier, and Phoenix shoots free throws well. Just watch, Shaq will be able to rebound and clog the middle, while getting the WHOLE TEAM more free throws. Oh yeah, BTW, Amare is a power forward, not a center.

i think its a good trade for phx, cos marion and wade are gonna both want to be explosive players and score lots right? then phx has shaq and amare down low, and nash to get it to them, plus there a good shooting team so they can hit 3's. easy

I think the suns got Shaq because they think they will be facing the spurs in the playoffs. With shaq guarding the paint they will surely be very tough.
