Your father is probably a hockey fan. Ask him to play you 1 on 1 and show him who sucks. lol. but seriously i think its possible to have good marks and be a baller. Most of the NBA players went to the university and it takes good marks. And guess what... they are good ballers too

You can be successfull in school and in ball. Take it from someone who played pro ball, but still had good enough grades to get into medical school.

Then in March provincials came and I made the team. By then I'd been playing for about a year. Anyways every time I play a game I'm the most motivated one on the court. I might not be the best one on the court but I'm sure I'm the most motivated. If people hadn't told me I sucked over the while I've been playing then it would have gotten me nowhere. In June I had a 3 on 3 tournament where my dad kept telling me not to join because " I wasn't good enough". My team ended up winning 3 games and losing 1. After I told him he didn't say shit. Now I made the school team and he's telling me to quit playing ball or I'll regret it forever. He said it'll be the biggest mistake I've made. It's like he has a grudge against basketball, he just sees me touch a ball "You think about ball too much, Go Study" Man I average 5 A's per term. He wants me to quit ball to fucn get him straight A's. What do y'all think? Quit ball and forget about it? Or Keep ballin
It's your choice but what's the point of straight A's and getting an amazing job if you're not happy? I'd rather be the fucking stupidest shit in the world but be having the most fun everytime I step up on the court.

i dono where you come from, but being the fucking stupidest shit in the world but having the most fun everytime you step up on the court is not going to feed your stomach.
krd-baller, i feel u, even i have the same situation. My school team just got thrashed in a tournament and so im keepin ball aside for the next coupla months. Prolly ill go only once a week. i'm tryin 2 get into a good college and then it's showtime.

Are you kidding me!!!???
Basketball is fun, but what happens when you are 45 and you don't have as much fun everytime you step on the court because you can't jump anymore and your knees hurt everytime you play? If you don't get some sort of education, how are you going to feed yourself or your family? You don't have to get a formal education to get ahead in life, but you better be smart in some area such as street smarts or good work ethic, or you won't be able to support yourself.

dont quit but dont let your school suffer. if u do let go of school u wont be able to follow basketball for a career because if u hav straight A's u hav a higher chance of gettin a scholarship to college as well as bein good at bball. but try and find a balance.

Keep playing, and keep studying. Don't think about going pro. After you been balling for a longer time, you can see where that takes you.

Don't quit, my parents don't want me playing on ball team because im failing math but ima pass that and try to maintain ball at same time were all in somewhat the same situation, just keep balling and keep getting good grades and your dad will eventually open up his eyes.
