all star game
A couple of years ago on the and1 mixtape vol 5, half man had an idea to have and nba all star team go against the hood all stars. My question is who do u think some of the players would be on the hood all stars and would they have a chance at winnin. Either way i think half mans rite, they should.

Re: all star game
yo honestly the ppl dat would play for da hood are players like: half man, high octane, sham guard, skip 2 my lou, escalade, bone collector, starbury, mostly all those who hold it down game after game.....and if they was 2 go up against da nba all- stars thass players like kg, AI, tim duncan, tracy mcgrady, shaq, and w/o a doubt the nba players would come out on top
it is whut it is

Re: all star game
I think you're forgetting that a lot of the NBA players are 'hood stars themselves. It's only because they made it big and got out that people don't think of them that way. If these other dudes were really that good, they'd be in the league themselves. The game would be a fifty-point win for the NBA players, and that's if they take it easy in the fourth.

that isn't necessarily true. does anybody remember lenny cooke? this nigga was rated above lebron james at one time. he isn't good as lebron overall, but he can hold his own against him, and lebron's a top ten player in the league. lenny cooke's downfall, was being a one on one player. there's people who could've been in the league in the streets, but blew their chances, having to take care of their family instead of going to college or the streets could've got to them first ( like karlton "dunkin" hines, a nigga who outshined sam cassell when they played together easy. ). there's many things that can go wrong, that'll leave you not inside the nba. the best players that adapt to the league make it, not the best to play basketball. joe "the destroyer" hammond scored fifty on dr. j at the rucker, in one half. but back in those days in harlem... you could make more money than the nba could offer you. if street rules were allowed, it would be a closer game. the nba players are more about putting the ball in the hoop, than showing off like street players do. a good amount of dudes on the street play no d as well. they will put up maybe forty in one game... but the nigga they guarded probably'll score thirty five himself. the nba players are bigger and stronger. it's almost like a different sport, streetball and technical ball. the street team might get off a good amount of tricks, but like plug said, i wouldn't be surprised if they lose by a lot of points.

well nah mean i hear exactly where u commin from but nah mean dat dude helicopter put ^ 65 in a game nah mean he was a beast.....basically givin the oppourtunity 2 play nba players, the hood stars would prolly juss b lookin forward 2 doin tricks cuz i dont really see alotta dem puttin ^ crazy numbers.....then u'd have the hood stars tryna do iso's n all dat so they get shine.....cleary the nba focuses more on the team and streetball focuses more on the individual
it is whut it is

Re: all star game
well many nba players CAN do tricks. even if they do get outshined by the tricks, their one-on-one skills are still damn good(kobe,ai,etc.). oh yeah the joe hammond thing, i hated it when he said that he would've been the jordan given the chance. i mean you'll never know.
