Default What to have for energy

hey guys i was woundring what you think is the best thing to have for basketball before a game to give you energy, and when should you have it?????

Height: 6 foot
Weight: 163lb
Running vert: 30
Squat: 148 (326lb)
Deadlift: 138kg (304lb)

Novice weights stats

Starting:
Squat: 78kg (171lb)
Deadlift: 88kg (194lb)

End of Phase 1:
Squat: 98kg (216lb)
Deadlift: 105.5kg (231lb)

End of Phase 2:
Squat: 128kg (282lb)
Deadlift: 123kg (271lb)

End of Phase 3:
Squat: 148kg (326lb)
Deadlift: 138 (304lb)

yea sum guy asked me how i dont get tired....just drink water a few mins before ure game and at halftime also drink water and wenever u can (like wen u get benched)

Water and only water. Protein bars are a ripoff, you get the same amount of energy from a pop-tart than an overpriced "energy" bar that costs like $3.

I disagree with what you said there even though i dont buy these bars myself i know that what you said is wrong. There are some bars that you can buy that release your energy more slowly thus making your energy last longer. Where as on the other hand you will just eat a pop tart and wear the energy off in say 3 mins.

Lol letorade. I just eat eggs in the morning it energizes me...
Not ALL protein bars might work, every one has different ingredients and effects.

i almost forgot to mention this....eat those kfc chicken sticks (u kno the ones in a small box with sum sauce) i once ate rite before a semifinal game and played great.....
