Clarification On Some Rules

I got a few doubts about the NBA rules, or rather normal organized ball rules.

1. Can someone please explain the 3-second violation?
2. Can someone explain the charging and blocking fouls?
3. Can you drive, take a hop and then pass? Is this considered travelling? What I'm tring to ask is that is it required that you HAVE to shoot after taking a hop?
4. Can someone explain the reach-in foul?
5. While taking a second free-throw, is it necessary that the guys can enter the paint for a rebound only after the ball has touched the rim?

only thing im not sure about is question 3...and to add to it;can u take 2 steps like wen ure driving and then hop step?
