Default What is Ballin' anymore?

Now I know that ya'll pobably got some skillz that killz, and wow I am amazed at some a thoz sik moves the And One Tour superstars pull out. It's enough to keep me watchin'. But what ya'll think of how the ballin' game has been changin'. No travels no palming no double dribble, not much fouls, to me it look more like football. I mean ya see shaq daddy bust trough the lane like a freight train and the ref don't call sh##. Now is this good or bad.

well it depends what you play... there's a big difference in the rules of streetball and basketball. and about shaq trucking down defenders... well his size doesn't give him the option to play any softer cause if he does it's like he isn't 7'1" 350lbs. it doesn't give him the freedom he's naturally big body gives him and it just makes others play better i think especially the big men

Exactly, every baller play in his own style. Every baller use his own physical body build into the game. They use natural speed, vertical or power, but difference in the rules between basketball and streetball still exist. Streetball is still basketball but leaning on more liberal or free rules. Of course in streetball leagues, like EBC, SBA, 4th West or French Quai 54 they still play with straight basketball rules nut it is still streetball and still basketball. Both kinds are the parts of each other. Streetball is a one of carrier levels in basketball. Most ballers start on some playgrounds, few of them playing now in the league the others still on playgrounds or in sime semi pro leagues. They all are still basketball playas (Pro or streetball). Streetball is still a part of basketball. Period. We shouldn't change that, couse it's not a new sport discipline, it's still old good basketball

I'm sorry but to say every baller in his own style is just ridiculous. There are rules in the game for a reason. The rules are made to make the game fair for everyone. When one player can run down the court and get to the other side then take 4 steps without dribbling and score, there is a problem. And when a monster at 7'1'' can bust through the lane, like a wrecking ball through a building, knocking down everything in his path, it's not fair to the rest of the players.

Ohh man maybe my english is weak but you don't understand me. By writing "every baller play in his own style" I was mean, not breaking any rules but using his physicals abbilitys. If you are Big and have big weight you naturally use your power, but you are slow, if you are small and quick you can use your speed. That's what I mean talking about basketball. In streetball Like I said rules can change and it's all depend from ballers playin in da hood. But if you play in some streetball league rules oblige again, but sometimes with little modifications. Is my answer clear right now ?

Did you know that the rules are not enforced? How many times do you see an offensive player like Shaque run over the person who is trying to defend them, without getting called for an offensive foul? I know that I see it in every game that I watch. It is ridiculous. And about playing by the rest of the rules, it does not happen. In any given basketball game I would bet that there are at least 25 travels in the game that are left uncalled.

yeah but shaq is big and strong without that he'd be better off a bench warmer it's like taking yao ming's height or whatever. and yeah it's true that there are uncallled violations but come on being a referee is hard. you've got to see the whole court at one time and that's something hard... i mean HARD. and 25 travels that's too much

Dude if U want 2 watch a game where rules are enforced watch the nba
but if you want entertainment watch streetball because it is not only about winning in streetball it's also about showin ur handles and ur dunks...............

Most of the streetball mixes dosen't show who wins most of da time it shows dunks and handles and other stuff like that ............

Why can't we take that away from Shaq? Shouldn't he have to play by the rules like everyone else? His size already gives him an advatage. Why should he get more of an advantage being able to run over people like a running back? About the travels, I guarantee you I could find at least 25 travels in an NBA basketball game that are left uncalled. They never call travels, unless it is called on some no name player.
