wutup yall I new here n I got a topic for ya. I doin a research paper for my english class on playground legends that for 1 reason or anothr never made it to the nba. I got a decent list so far but itd b tite if any1 here cud add to it or gimme sites or articles on anya tha guys I already got, or gimme info on some1 I dont got and why they didnt make it big, whateva, but any help would be real nice. so far this is the list I got:

Earl "The Goat" Manigault
Earl Vernon Monroe (aka "Black Jesus, The Pearl")
Cornelius "Connie" Hawkins (aka "Hawk")
Herman "the Helicopter" Knowings
Curtis "CJ" Jones
Joe "The Destroyer" Hammond
Lewis "Black Magic" Lloyd
James "Fly" Williams
Lloyd "Sweet Pea" Daniels
Jackie Jackson
Lamar "Money" Mondane
Roger Brown
Demetrius "Hook" Mitchell

***A FEW OF THESE GUYS DID PLAY FOR A BIT IN THE NBA, SO I RECOGNIZE THIS LIST ISNT COMPLETELY ACCURATE YET AND ISNT FINISHED******

anythin at all any1 got on anya these guys or othas, holla at me. my email is this same screenname I got here, @mikebibby.com. gimme somethin everybody I kno theres got to be some1 out there who knows a story bout one of these guys or some otha dude that didnt ever make it big. reasons why ya'll think some of these guys didnt make it, mayb it was drugs, lack of exposure, bein lazy, whateva, hit this topic hard!
if no1 gots nothin to add, the least this topic can be for is to debate the list, who was the best n whatnot.

you should take earl monroe and connie hawkins off the list cause unlike the others there, they made their names known in the nba

Yea you should take connie hawkins and earl moroe off there they made themselves known.

Earl "The Goat" Manigault, Pee Wee Kirkland and Joe Hammond all served time in prison for drug charges, which was part of the reason they didn't make it.
Joe Hammond was actually offered a contract by the Lakers worth $50,000 but turned it down because he made more money selling heroin and coke.
Lewis "Black Magic" Lloyd currently plays at Rucker.
Ed "Booger" Smith definitely should have made it.
Len Bias was first overall pick by the Celtics in the late eighties i think. A few days after being drafted, he died of a cocaine induced seizure at his friend's house.

I dunno if Sebastian Telfair's older brother was a playground legend but he did play for
Providence a few years back and he killllllllllleeeeeeeeeedddddddd
