Alright yeah I do play organized ball too. I averaged a triple-double last year in 8th grade, 20 pts, 12 rebs, 10 assists or so I don't remember. But on my AAU team I can't do my thing on offense cuz its so organized. I'm not allowed to cut to the hoop and we can only shoot or dribble in certain situautions.

After reading those posts i was like goddamn thats me!
Most of my life i been playin street ever since my team in high school lost cuz of shitty fouls and a bs ref.
I've actually just came back onto the hardwood scene and man did i get smashed.
I'm not going to lie about it it's a completely different set of skill sets you needed and i didn't know that at the time and had my ass whupped for like the first three games.
Different now though, every time i bring the ball up court (i'm a 1G) i know my role more...But now i break my opposing 1g ankles at the top of the key then that m#thaf&*!*!! won't play solid d for the whole game meaning i can run circles around him cuz he dun wna get embarresed.

yo juss ball like u usually do and try getting the plays but throw in a bit of street like crossovers and thru the legs behind the bak, freestyle a bit and then run the play. if the coaches say stop doing that then iunno cuz my coach is cool wid it

Ok 1st off lets get this str8 IF u suck at Organized ball u suck at streetball too.
U have to understand the game Streetball is street basketball Organized ball is basketball they're are damn near the same if u got game.
1st know your position & where you are supposed to be at all times...w/out know that u can't win in any type of game. Oragnized is easier than street b/c u knwo exactly who your playing against ie. high schoolers, D1,2,3 college whatever i structured for your talent group, the street isn't so u have to be more aggressive. But if you can't run plays u can't play it's that simple & it sounds to me like your struggling w/ the basics of the game like movement, footwork & positioning. Here's what u do:
Identify your position G,F,C & watch everyone who plays it & see how they play where they rotate to yada yada.

I get tired of guys who say they good in street but not organized it makes u sound lame, & they r b/c they are the ones that just run up & down injuring folks & u'll find that better players wouldn't want to play w/ u no matter how much U think your doing well.

im way better at organized basketball than streetball or just playing outside and stuff...but to get better try talking with the coaches and one of the players about it and stuff

Yeh 8th grade isnt the most athletic age man no disrespect. I play 5 years above my age im only 17 and i play in a under 19 and open mens league and in my country ive been offered to train as a pro already. If ur not aloowed to shoot or dribble in certain situations maybe its cause not the best to your coach and he hasnt given u free licence. My coach tell me to do my thing when i wana cause i make it count and i make sure i dish the bal when i see my team mates free. Organised ball is about passing it until u get the best option or until the other team gets tired on d and you punish them for being wrong footed or loose.
If your scoring those many points in 8th grade try keep the same points and asssists as you get older and unless your around 6"5 dont focus to much on rebounds.

I agree with you man people should say they are gud at street and not organised cause street still involves team work and scoring which is what it really comes down to in organised...who scores more....

and as for the agressive part look at ben wallace, kobe or ron artest those guys play so aggersive not cause its street or organised cause its jsut there style and they are probably more agressive than some top streetballs. Look at the kobe dunk on steve nash or ben wallace blocks and dont even go to ron artest. Even some of the And 1 team arent agressive and they are who really brought streetball to the world.

i used 2 b simmilr 2 what sumone said ealier i used 2 suk balls at organised cuz my game was more from the streets but then i gotta good coach who sat down with me (not literaly) and taugh me step by step how i can acheive more in organised i followed what he said and now i own at organsied and lol on the flipside suk at street
