when u make those passes dont try to act all fancy...
when u pass try to look away from the defender or fake pass if u know what i mean..
only take shots that you are 90% sure u can nail them....
always pass to anyone whos open doesnt matter about their skill....
and work on ball handling at u r home dribble everywhere u can and catch up some good moves like behind the back cross-over and stuff..
and the LAST IMPORTANT thing MOTIVATE your team... for example they make a lay-up give em a pound be like "dats what i m talking bout..." when they miss be like "its ok! it happens just try better next time"

You forgot to mention that even though your not the captian all 1 guards are an un-offical captains in their own respect, take what 321 has said you've got to be able to have court vision and and know how to run plays...

Here are a few tips:
- Always remember never to pass through defenders.
- Communicate with your team, tell them to set screens, and cut in and out from the three point line.
- Fake the ball and jab step. These are basic key moves that are very effective.
- Play with heart.
