alternative to deadlifts?
im about 6'4" or 5" with long legs, so today when i was at the gym and i was doing deadlifts, a trainer came up to me and told me that i should look up alternative exercises to the deadlift because in the long run i could hurt myself. Although deadlifts are really important he has a really good point, lower back pain runs in the family and deadlifting involves big weights so this is alot of weight which could hurt me. the only thing i could think of would be finding a way to raise the bar so that i dont have to bend over so far, or just drop the exercise(which would be bad). please give me some suggestions.
