Default Re: my worst enemy

I had the same problem, In organized ball I clam up but in streetball I am unstoppable, even against the same teams I played against in an organized game. Hops will help your game but probably wont help your problem unless your a big dude. Just because you can jump doesnt mean you will finish. It takes time to develop creativeness with your hops.

First you should just try doing what you do no matter what. If you get blocked ripped whatever, just keep doing your thing do let it stop you. Eventually you will get passed the mental barrier of being embarrassed or shown up and be able to relax cause the worse has happened repeatedly. I did this one game and got my shot sent 3 times in a row (twice off the backboard). But each time it got easier. By the 4th time i had the ball i didn't care what happened just like in pick up game, and ended up scoring 20 that half.

If that does'nt work develop a mean mid-range jumper. Im talking a quick catch and shoot and a quick off the dribble jumper. The goal is to be able to shoot with out thinking because you dont have to be in your comfort zone for that. Once you hit a few shots your confidence will go up and you will find yourself more comfortable to do what you normally do.
