i thought he mastered in drama as well..?anyways i thnk lotsa people misunderstand commercial hip hop. Commercial hip hop just means that your exposed and everyone knows you, like your on mtv and all that shit. but being commercial doesnt mean you suck. like common is mainstream is he has insane lyrics and flow. Kanye's stuff is pretty nice too. Lupe Fiasco, KRS- One, Mos Def, Talib Kweli.. thers still many commercial rappers keeping it real. Its just when the money gets to them is when it becomes boring. And for 50 cent, or any other "commercial" rapper out ther, i dont like ther music but in the end,its ther job, so they wanna make as much money as they can.
