Although I disagree with your doctor about weight lifting at a young age, bodyweight is good enough for beginners.
Anyway, with TVP, I would wait until you can squat about 1.5x your bodyweight to do that, because it doesn't really help with your relative strength, it just increases power output. You're better off continuing to progress through VJB for now.
Since you are doing strength training (bodyweight still counts), you are only supposed to do plyos twice a week. Try monday and thursday since it will allow the best time for full recovery.
