That means they have better rebounders than lakers. But still Lebron manages to get 8 rebounds a game even if they have players like Varejao, ilgauskas and Ben Wallace. And also Lebron has more points per game. he shoots a better FG% than Kobe. And even if the lakers are a better team, that doesnt mean a lot. we are talking about MVP and not who is the better team so individual stats matters more than team stats. And Lakers are not the 3rd best team in the league. I would take Boston, san Antonio, Detroit and Hornets over them. Maybe even the rockets.

lebron doesnt find the open man.
he rarely finds the open man in the paint.
LAKERS average 44.1 rebounds
Cavaliers average 44.3 rebounds
i dont think thats a huge difference
and lebron average 6.3 DEFENSIVE reb
and 1.7 Offensive rebs
but kobe isnt much better than that so
and lakers being a better team matters alot
and if stats DO matter in being the MVP why hasnt kobe won mvp in the last few years.
Btw kobe has never won mvp
i think he deserves on this year
(OFFTOPIC: YESSSSS

LAKERS BEAT JAZZ BY 10 POINTS AT THEIR HOME COURT. btw JAZZ has the best home court record. i think its like 23-4.
Lakers are back #1 in the west)
