As for a training tool I do think it can work at least if used for short periods of time. It teaches you to accelerate as your leverage advantage increases as well as increases the eccentric force in the countermovement. Teaching yourself to accelerate is all very well and good and in that sense I can see yourself increasing power. However, I think that depth drops and jumps deal with the eccentric overload better while allows for more natural jumping mechanics. So you need your usual plyos.
I have spoken to some people on the prolonged use of bands. Opinion is split. Interestingly, some say that they can teach you to 'relax' at the bottom position (i.e. where there is least stretch) rather than explode right from the get go. Personally, I have no view or experience and am intrigued, I will use mine at some point.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Probably raised more questions than I answered.

Thanks you did help lol yea i was planning on using it when i squat or deadlift to get more out of lifting and using it when i do the plyos for VJB so that shouldnt be too much ill cycle on and off of it too for plyos and weights. My overall concern was if it worked or not and it seems that it does do the task it says it does
