Well, with monohydrate you do need to load it for 2 weeks. Then you need at least 10 g per day. The way it works, you have to have it in your system for your body to use it in the next workout. So, it doesn't work right away. Every organ in your body uses creatine, so it takes about 2 weeks for your muscles to use it.
