Creatine monohydrate is a rather "old" form, basically the original, phosphagen. It will still work, but it can trap water between the muscle and the fat under the skin. This can make your muscle look "puffy". It is also more difficult for your body to absorb. You should drink cranberry, pomegranate or orange juice with it. The one thing I would say about creatine is, do not become a cronic user. Cycle on then off of it. I take it maybe 3-4 cycles per year, for 6-8 weeks. There are some better forms of creatine, but monohydrate is better than nothing! Creatine will add strength, help with recovery, and add some bulk.
