Re: One Question
you may be able to get 10 inches in 15 weeks.
1) if you have a vertical of 20 or less inches and lack relative strength.
tips to increase vertical quicker.
1) increase your strength to weight ratio, also known as relative strength.
2) have a great consistent nutrician program set up to help aid in recovery.
3) do one of pavel ptsatsouline stretching books like beyond stretching and super joints after workout.
4) do a weight training program focused on increasing your limit strength, including squats, deadlift, and maybe a few olympic lifts.
if not doing olympic lifts have a well set up plyometric program to do.
when i train my athletes i usually have about 6 months with them so i do 4 months of trying to increase there strength to rate ratio with little plyos. then a month of plyos and then a month of conditioning to get them in shape. there is no need for more than one month of conditioning as that is ample time for them to get in shape.
it also depends how conditioned my athletes are depending on the program design.
i have seen athletes increase there vertical jump about 12 inches with me in those months and usually a drop of .1 to .4 in the 40 yard dash.
hope that helps
