Whenever i do this sort of stuff its good to visualize yourself being the fastest you can possible be with excellent balance and coordination, tell yourself your gonna use all your effort.
For plyometrics such as 4 star drills/ankle bounces/lunge jumps i just try to spring of the ground while being coordinated and performing the excercises properly.
1 more thing, plyometrics are used to get the body to adapt to jumping higher. This is why you want to give it your all everytime you do them.
