Default My season is done. If I train....

I am a sophomore that plays for one of the best high schools in the state of Washington. I tried out for C team. The thing is that I made it past first big cut. The last day during tryouts (towards the end) I got a rebound and fell on my leg funny and it was hurting BAD. The coaches said theyll keep me on the team if I am gonna recover in 2 weeks. But today the doctor said that I hurt my ankle very bad and will not play for 1 month for sure. So I got put as a reserve

This is very bad because I trained/lifted weights the whole summer. All I can do is watch and think about next season.

STATS:
Height:6'1
Weight:165
Reach:8ft
Running Vert: 27in (this is an estimate because I can get about up to were my knuckles start when I get rim)
Position:Right Now PF, JV an Varsity season SF.

My question is if I just start training and working out like crazy until next season will I see big improvements? Also if I do VJB for like 9 month (either plyos , bodyweight, weightlifting) will I start dunking next season and have noticable ups?(right now I can get 3 inches over the rim and I can palm the ball but cant dunk.) I am determined because I want to go play basketball at at the next level. Will hard 9month of VJB give me really nice hops and will I be able to dunk on people if I work on it hard?
