1) 12 if you wanna get your vj, you gotta learn patience. 12 weeks isnt THAT long, considering the gains you will get from it if you do it right.
2) you should take at least 1-2 days off between each workout. do NOT do what i did, and just because you skipped one workout, you do it during your rest day, thus resulting in 3 workouts in 3 days. you'll kill your knees like i did.
3) the 12 week program is broken up into four, 3 week phases. phases, one, to three and four.
basically, i emailed kelly and he said that it'd be good if you can take a week off between each phase, so basically 1 week off every 3 weeks. this will allow you to recover your legs, get those extra inches after your muscle recovery, and allow you to start your next phase with maximum energy =]
