i agree... if you wnat to increas your vert, you MUST squat and deadlift, its not an choice, its a must. In fact, according to a lot of personal trainers and sports specialists, deadlift is the second best exercise out ther just cuz of the muscles it trains.
if you are only gona look at the negatives, you are never gona get anythign accomplished in your life. sometimes you have to look at the negativse and postives of everything.
sure deadlift might make you shorter by half an inch, but it will no doubt give you a killer vert and make you very strong. the positives just outweights the negatives. and i am not even sure how much the negatives are gona affect you.
